Toss-in-the-Bowl Lemon Garlic Dressing

by Lorraine Thompson on May 22, 2009

You can throw the ingredients for Toss-in-the-Bowl Lemon Garlic Dressing right on top of your salad greens and toss. No clean-up! This quick dressing delivers powerful salty lemony flavor—delicious on mesclun, baby spinach or just about any other salad.

Toss-in-the-Bowl Lemon Garlic Dressing

Juice of one lemon
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 clove garlic, crushed
Kosher salt and fresh-ground pepper to taste
Salad greens

  1. Squeeze lemon juice. Strain juice or pick out seeds and throw onto salad.
  2. Pour olive oil onto salad; with practice you’ll be able to eyeball-measure the right amount straight from the bottle.
  3. Crush garlic onto salad, sprinkle generously with salt—I like this dressing extra salty—and ground pepper. Toss and serve.
  4. Everything you need for fresh, lemony salad dressing.

Yum! I love fresh lemon in my salad dressings! And, of course, I can’t live without the garlic.

I am glad that you posted this. I just posted something on my favorite salad dressings two days ago.
